One-On-One Session

Monthly Teacher/Student SessionThis service entails a one to one session once a month with their teacher for the specific course they are enrolled in. It is the teacher’s responsibility to inform the student of their progression in class. This practice is put into effect simply to monitor each student’s performance and to provide methods of improvement.

Academic Guidance

Guidance Counsellor

Just like any other high school, Vantage Academy offers academic guidance for each individual. Especially for our grade 12 students, we communicate on a regular basis to keep you on track for your future plans. We work diligently with our students on the application process for college and university, given that students meet all academic requirements.

Features and Accessibility

Personalized Course Features

Flexible Timeline

At VA, we empower our students with the flexibility to set their own pace for submitting assignments and taking tests. The only time constraint is the completion window of 6 months from the date of enrollment. Students are free to fast-track their studies or use the entire allotted time, with options to extend their courses if needed.

We encourage students to segment their coursework in a manner that aligns with their individual learning preferences. Whether they prefer a structured schedule similar to a conventional school week or find that they excel by working in the evenings or on weekends, our program is adaptable to their personal study habits.

Digital Submission and Assessment Platform

All assignments, tests, and examinations at VA are accessible via a stable internet connection, utilizing the Moodle Learning Management System for a centralized educational experience. This eliminates the need for logging into multiple websites or applications. Additionally, each student's VA account includes a Student Handbook course complete with guidance and training to ensure a smooth adaptation to our digital learning environment.

Unit Tests with Resource Access

VA's approach to unit tests in all courses allows for an open book format within a timed setting, providing students the advantage of referring to their course materials during tests. It's important to note, however, that final exams are conducted without access to course materials and are proctored to uphold academic integrity.

Continuous Access to Educational Materials

Once the necessary prerequisites are verified and the Content Release Quiz is completed, students have uninterrupted access to all course materials, including class notes and lessons, for the entire duration of their course. They can revisit these resources and their graded assignment feedback at any time throughout their studies.

Accessibility

On the Moodle website, we’ve integrated an array of accessibility features designed to enhance user experience and ensure our content is as inclusive as possible. One of these key features allows users to personalize their learning environment by adjusting font sizes and site colors to suit their visual preferences and needs. Whether you require larger text for easier reading or prefer a specific color scheme for better screen visibility, our settings are readily adjustable to meet those needs. This customization ensures that each user can create a comfortable, accessible, and individualized learning space, thereby optimizing their ability to engage with course materials and resources on our platform.
